Voiceworks is throwing a big goth party to launch Issue 115 Goth tonight! 🌘🕸💀🌹

The night includes 🕷️readings from the issue:
~ Nonfiction from Sarah Fegan
~ Fiction from Jennifer Briguglio
~ Poetry from Juanita Ebbs
🕷️ A raffle with lots of cool prizes including zine packs, vintage Voiceworks stickers and art.
🕷️ Live music from Heather Joan Day

Doors open at 7:30 with readings and music from 8:15.
Entry is free, and Loop is a wheelchair-accessible space. Readings and raffle will be Auslan interpreted.

Voiceworks is an Australian literary journal, published quarterly by Express Media, featuring and produced entirely by people under the age of twenty-five. For thirty years, Voiceworks has provided young writers with space to develop, experiment and publish their work. Voiceworks Issue #115, ‘Goth’, brings you more of the best fiction, nonfiction, poetry, comics and visual art by young Australians.

Juanita Ebbs (24) is not as much of an emo as her poem might suggest. Come to the launch tonight to find out just how emo Juanita's poem, 'Ghost', really is. 👻

Jennifer Briguglio (22) studies creative writing and children’s literature. She likes witches, complicated villains and giraffes. Jennifer will be reading her short story 'Baba Red', an addition to the mythology of Baba Yaga 🐁

Sarah Fegan (21) is a white lesbian and an ugly school graduate. You can find Sarah online @bulldaggy. Sarah will be reading from 'Clip', a nonfiction essay about nail-biting, habits and inheritance 🌒

Heather Joan writes ~transsexual goth-pop music~ and poetry.
